Research on the Hydration and Mechanical Properties of NAC-Hardened Cement under Various Activation Methods

Adding mineral admixture is one of the leading technical ways to improve durability cement-based materials. Nano attapulgite clay (NAC) a unique fiber rod crystal structure that can change physical and mechanical properties materials, opens up new idea for exploring high-performance This paper studied effects NAC on hydration process, pore structure, cement substrate under different activation methods. The results show pH value solution mixed with 5% high-viscosity ore (calcined) was 8.8% higher than without NAC. chemically bound water contents in 1% 3% raw were 14.11% 14.04%; when content calcined 1%, improvement effect process best. 3%, 5%, porosity hardened paste 19%, 19.04%, 22.27% lower Calcining cement’s promote reaction, increase compactness paste. fluidity mortar (D E) at mixing amount reduced by 32.66% 26.13%, respectively, compared ordinary specimens. flexural strength generally improved 28.40% 17.28% After calcination, better high-clay improving cement.
